Looking for the perfect tablet stand for my indoor trainer sessions
Doing my indoor training sessions on Zwift or MyWhoosh, I quickly realized that using a tablet makes the whole experience way more enjoyable. Navigating menus, starting a workout, adjusting settings mid-effort, everything feels smoother compared to a phone just thrown somewhere. The problem was the stand. I wanted something stable, clean-looking, and able to blend naturally into my space. Not some cheap plastic accessory that screams garage DIY. So I went for the Stand model from Ripost.
What is Ripost?
Ripost is a small French company founded by Nicolas with a simple but strong idea: produce less, produce better. The brand designs useful, aesthetic, and durable cycling accessories, made on demand using plant-based and renewable materials. The goal isn’t to flood the market, but to offer products that actually make sense, both in their function and their design. You can clearly feel it’s built by passionate riders who want to combine performance with a more conscious approach.
My test of the Ripost tablet stand, the Stand!
I used the Stand throughout my entire indoor training season, and honestly, it delivered. The setup is almost ridiculously simple. Three wooden legs, perfectly finished, and a fourth piece that slots in to hold the tablet. Nothing complex, nothing unnecessary. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but that’s exactly the point. Clean design, quick assembly, solid structure. Once in place, it feels stable and doesn’t move during sessions, even when things get intense.
In use, the Stand can sit above the front wheel or slightly to the side of the bike to bring the screen even closer. The height is really well thought out. Even with my tall build, the tablet stays perfectly in my line of sight. No neck strain, no constantly looking down. Everything feels natural, ergonomic, and smooth. On long sessions, that kind of detail actually matters.
Another strong point is how compact it is. The Stand stays discreet in the room and doesn’t take over the space. And when indoor season ends, it’s just as easy to take apart as it was to set up. In a few seconds, it’s stored away without taking over your living room or office. Huge plus if you don’t have a dedicated training room.
On my side, I don’t even limit it to training use. The Stand works just as well off the bike. Watching a video while cooking, following a recipe, or even using it as a secondary screen on my desk, it does the job perfectly. That versatility makes it even more interesting. You’re not buying something you’ll only use three months a year, but a product that fits into your daily life.
Priced at €59, the Ripost Stand isn’t the cheapest option out there. You’ll always find more basic tablet holders for a bit less. But if you actually compare it to dedicated indoor training tablet or laptop stands, often bulkier and less aesthetic, the price makes sense. Here, you’re paying for a well-built, stable, durable, and versatile product that you can use all year round. For something that integrates cleanly into your space and avoids DIY setups, the price feels fair and justified.
My verdict on the Ripost indoor trainer tablet stand?
At the end of the day, the Stand from Ripost ticks all the boxes: clean design, easy to assemble and disassemble, compact, versatile, and built with quality materials. It’s the kind of accessory that genuinely improves your indoor training experience while respecting your living space. Simple, effective, and fully aligned with a more responsible vision of cycling gear.
