Revoray, a rising brand
Revoray is one of those brands you stumble upon by chance and that impresses from the very first minutes. Their catalog is wide, really wide, with tons of models and especially some really great color options. Honestly, picking a model and then a color wasn’t easy because the combinations on offer are so tempting.
For this review, I chose the Arte model, one of Revoray’s premium options, priced at only €58. On paper, the promise is clear: stylish, high-performance, and accessible sunglasses.
Delivery and first impressions
Delivery takes about ten days. Nothing unusual, but it’s better to plan ahead if you have a ride or event coming up. In short, about a week before you receive them.
The first real wow moment comes when opening the package. The packaging is neat and well thought out. Inside the box, you’ll find:
Revoray Arte sunglasses
A second non-tinted lens
A hard case
A slim protective pouch
A cleaning cloth
For a €58 product, I clearly wasn’t expecting such a complete package. Some much more expensive brands could take note.
Design and comfort on the road
Once on the bike, the Revoray Arte quickly fades into the background. The glasses are lightweight and well balanced. On my first ride, I was out in full autumn, with strong colors everywhere. The lens tint really enhances the scenery and improves contrast. It’s the kind of detail that makes the ride even more enjoyable.
As for fit, there’s nothing to complain about. They don’t shift at all, even on rough roads. I’ve tested sunglasses with good grip before, but the arms would droop and become annoying. Here, the arms are fairly straight, which provides real comfort over time. No pressure points, no discomfort under the helmet.
Fog and ventilation
I haven’t tested these glasses in extreme heat yet, so I’ll be transparent about that. However, on cooler rides, fogging while riding wasn’t an issue.
When stopped, a bit of fog sometimes appeared, but it disappeared very quickly as soon as I started moving again. In practice, this isn’t an issue at all.
Durability
In terms of sturdiness, no problems during the test. That said, the glasses do feel somewhat fragile. They seem prone to scratching easily if dropped or coming into contact with other objects.
It’s not a dealbreaker considering the price, but it’s something to keep in mind. A bit of care is recommended to keep them in good condition over time.
Verdict
For a brand I barely knew until recently, this was a great surprise. Revoray scores with a complete package, appealing design, and really convincing comfort.
For a mid-range budget, the Revoray Arte sunglasses are an excellent choice. The value for money is clearly one of this model’s main strengths, and I recommend them without hesitation for cyclists who want style and performance without breaking the bank.
I’m currently testing another Revoray model, this time in a photochromic version. A detailed review will be coming soon on Kadenz Cycling.
