Magene, a rising brand in the world of cycling

If you’re even slightly into cycling tech or indoor training, the name Magene probably rings a bell. The Chinese brand specializes in power meters, GPS bike computers, and connected accessories for cyclists and runners. Their approach is simple: offer reliable and accessible products, often two to three times cheaper than major brands (Garmin, Wahoo, Polar).

A heart rate monitor for less than €15—is it worth it? ?

I tested the Magene H64 heart rate monitor (Bluetooth + ANT+) over more than 1000 km, and honestly… I didn’t expect this. At €14.39 on Aliexpress, you’d think it’s just a gadget. Yet, this strap easily competes with models four to five times more expensive.

Compatibility: it connected seamlessly to my Wahoo bike computer, my Garmin watch, and also to my iPad for a Zwift indoor training session.
Data responsiveness: heart rate changes are displayed instantly, which is perfect for interval training.
Comfort: I don’t tolerate overly tight straps, and this one is spot on. It stays in place without feeling restrictive.
Weight & design: around 47 g (sensor included), with a thin, adjustable strap that is machine washable.

Who is the Magene heart rate monitor for?

Whether you’re a cyclist or a runner, this strap is ideal if you want to:

  • Work on your heart rate zones (zone 2, endurance, VO2max, etc.).

  • Track your interval training performance.

  • Have a reliable sensor at a low price for your rides or indoor sessions.

  • For less than €15, it’s hard to find anything better today.

Verdict : mon avis sur la ceinture cardiaque Magene
