Darevie cycling gear is everywhere on AliExpress. Ultra-low prices, modern designs, strong presence on social media… curiosity was bound to kick in. So I decided to place a solid order and see for myself, with a fully honest, no-filter review.

Short and long sleeve jerseys, standard and endurance bib shorts, a winter jacket, and a base layer. Here’s my full take on Darevie cycling apparel, covering strengths, weaknesses, and most importantly, who it’s actually worth it for.

Darevie: a budget cycling apparel brand that raises questions

The first thing that stands out with Darevie is the pricing. On AliExpress, you can find a full jersey and bib shorts set for under €50. At that price point, many well-known brands don’t even offer a jersey.

Darevie also offers a wide range of designs and color options. That’s clearly one of their biggest strengths. As a result, more and more cyclists are riding in Darevie gear, both on social media and during cycling events.

So the real question is simple. Is Darevie cycling apparel actually worth it, or is it just cheap gear with no real value?

Testing Darevie jerseys: short and long sleeve

I tested two quite different Darevie jerseys.

The long sleeve jersey is clearly the better one. The fit is closer to the body, more modern, and overall feels better on the bike. I still use it regularly in mid-season conditions.

The short sleeve jersey is more basic. It’s less breathable and I wouldn’t recommend it for rides above 24 to 25°C. For the price, it’s still a good deal, but with just a few extra euros, you can find better options, even on AliExpress.

Darevie standard bib shorts

Big plus here: the color options. It’s a nice change from the usual all-black bib shorts, and that’s a real win if you care about your overall kit look.

The fit is accurate, with minimal seams. The chamois is decent and works well for rides up to 2 to 3 hours. Beyond that, comfort starts to drop off.

Darevie endurance bib shorts

On paper, this model is designed for longer rides. Thicker padding, more advanced construction, and a clean black design.

Visually, it looks promising. On the bike, I’m more mixed. It’s slightly more comfortable than the standard version, but not enough to truly qualify as a long-distance bib short. For really long rides, I’d recommend stepping up in quality.

Darevie winter jacket

This is the most disappointing product in my order, even though it’s also the most expensive. The design is decent, but the materials and finishes don’t match the rest of the range.

It’s still usable and includes rear pockets, which is a plus. But for just a bit more money, you can find significantly better winter cycling jackets. Here, the value for money is less convincing.

Darevie base layer

Big surprise here. At first, I was disappointed. The base layer is quite thick for a sleeveless model and clearly not suited for summer.

But when tested in different conditions, especially between 15 and 20°C, it turned out to be very effective. If you’re looking for an ultra-light base layer for hot weather, skip it. But for mid-season riding, it’s a very solid option.

Final thoughts on Darevie cycling apparel

Darevie offers very interesting cycling gear for the price. It’s not high-end, the finishes are simple, and some products clearly have room for improvement.

But on a tight budget, it’s an excellent entry point into cycling apparel. If you’re willing to spend more, you’ll find better options. But if your goal is to ride well-equipped without breaking the bank, Darevie absolutely gets the job done.
